Description of Tool Used
In order to create the audio podcast I used a flip video camera. This was my first experience using the flip camera. I fell in love with it. It is very small in size. Smaller than the size of the length of your hand. You can charge it using your laptop. The videos were very clear. I used I-Movie HD to create my podcast video.
Reflection of your experience
The flip video camera was very easy to use. My only concern was it was more compatible for Macs. I have a IBM think pad, so I would have to convert my files using www.zamzar.com. That wasn't working out well on my computer. In essence of time, I used my STEP partners I-Mac to create my video using I-Movie HD. This took some time, just because I wasn't use to an I-Mac. I would love to use I-Mac on a regular basis. After completing my movie, I converted it to Quicktime for use on my own computer. I used video clips showing PUMA Pride with comments from students, staff and parents. I added title slides using different transitions.
I enjoyed taking videos of staff members, students and parents....My team mates worked with me to bring me up to speed with I-Movie HD. This was a beneficial experience. I look forward to creating more video podcasts in the future.
