Description
My podcasts focus on "Puma Pride". In our first session we completed an introduction podcast. Since then, I have completed two episodes. One talks about the school uniform policy. The other podcasts talks about peer mediation. The purpose of my podcasts are to provide students with resources for what it takes to exhibit "puma pride" on a daily basis. This will help us as we continue to promote positive thinking through our PBIS program.
Reflection of experience using the tool
I used audacity to create my audio component for my podcast. Audacity was easy to use for the most. Recording my voice was the easiest. I imported music from a clip downloaded from Freeplaymusic.com. This site has tons of free music. You can find any type of instrumental music. My challenge was using the tools on audacity to embed my music with my audio. It was difficult having the music to stop just as my voice started, and bringing the music back in at the end. It took alot of trial and error, but I am getting the swing of it. I realized I had to save my file as a "wav" file. Then, it was very easy to upload it to my "Podomatic" site. This site is easy to follow. All in all, this has been a learning experience. I look forward trying the video component of podcasting.
